Gerrie Walters is a family nurse practitioner specializing in pain management. Gerrie grew up in rural Tremont, Mississippi. She has extensive patient care experience, including over 12 years as a respiratory therapist, two years as a nurse in the Emergency Room, and three years as a nurse practitioner focusing on pain management.

In 2015, Walters completed her associate degree in nursing at Northwest Mississippi Community College. She continued her education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, to earn a Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2017. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Board and licensed in Mississippi and Tennessee.

Walters is a member of the Tennessee Pain Society and the Mississippi Nursing Association.

As a practitioner, Gerrie is motivated to help her patients regain the normalcy that chronic pain can take from daily life. Gerrie said, “Chronic pain often affects every aspect of a person’s life. Allowing people to continue participating in the activities that bring them joy and happiness is why I chose to work in pain management. I am blessed every single day, and I really think my patients help me just as much or more than I am able to help them.”
