When a patient suffers from complex regional pain syndrome of the lower extremties, they have burning pain, temperature imbalances, color changes, swelling, and increased sensitivity in one or both of their legs. This procedure is done under x-ray guidance where the cluster of nerves next to the spine is blocked to help relieve this painful condition.
