Dr. Kenan Arnautovic Elected to World Academy of Neurological Surgeons.

We want to congratulate Dr. Kenan Arnautovic on his induction into the World Academy of Neurological Surgeons. The WANS is a distinguished society that exists to encourage cooperation and camaraderie amongst world leaders of neurosurgery.

Members are chosen based on the merit of their scientific contributions, innovations, and educational efforts. Their role in advancing the field of neurosurgery on an international level also plays a major role in the selection of members.

Dr. Arnautovic was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Hercegovina. After completing his medical education in Sarajevo and Hannover, Germany, Dr. Arnautovic practiced neurosurgery for two years in his hometown. Dr. Arnautovic then immigrated to the United States. With determination to continue his work, Dr. Arnautovic completed a second residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Dr. Arnautovic has been an outstanding surgeon and advocate for the advancement of neuroscience his entire career. In his 18 years at Semmes Murphey, the Clinic and surrounding patient population have been benefactors of his dedication to excellent care in the present and medical advancements for the future.
