Stellate Ganglion Injection

There is a cluster of nerves in the neck that serves as pain centers for the face and arm. Certain conditions such as trigeminal neuralgia or complex regional pain syndrome can be relieved with injections in this part of the neck. X-ray guidance is used to assist in needle placement, then a combination of local anesthetic and steroids is injected to “block” this nerve cluster and bring relief to the face or arm.
