Trigger Point Injection

Trigger points are also called “knots.” These are tight, painful areas of muscle tissue that harden to form small pressure point areas under the skin. A small needle is injected into each trigger point and medication is delivered to reduce pain while loosening up the muscle tissue. Trigger point injections can be done in the clinic to quickly relieve this type of pain.
